Fortunate to have lived and studied in India for several years, I was able to develop a deep insight into the ancient roots of yoga as it has been taught for over 5,000 years. I later deepened my practice through a two-year teacher training program in Germany. In contrast to the fitness-based approach of many contemporary studios, my own practice takes a mindful, highly adaptable approach to yoga in order to deepen its positive effects on our daily lives. This approach enables us to move into the more subtle movements of yoga and fine-tune our awareness in ways that help us quiet the mind, achieve stress relief, and detoxify both our bodies and minds.
For me, yoga, chanting, and working with the sounds of singing bowls provide wonderful ways to cleanse ourselves from our everyday worries and to gather strength for any challenge that presents itself. Originally from a pharmaceutical background, I now take a completely holistic approach toward achieving an improved lifestyle, and it brings me great joy to share this knowledge with others through my own teaching and practice.
